BA Part III (of III)

We are finally to the last of the stories and pictures from Buenos Aires. Tuesday was our last day. Kate, Matt, Joyce, Abel and I headed to the Japanese Gardins and the Zoo. It took a bit of wandering around. We knew where we were going, it was just a longer walk from the subway stop than I expected. We had a good time practicing bad Spanish.

Matt, Abel, and I at the Japanese Gardens. Just proof that I have been here... just not stealing other people's pictures.

Um... Kate and Matt were feeling ethnic.

The Gardens were really pretty.

Another pretty view.

We then walked back around the outside of the Gardens and Zoo, The Gardens and Zoo are adjacent, but their entrances are on opposite sides. We decided we should stop and have lunch. We went to a place called Kentucky Pizza... how could we resist that? It was pretty good.

We then headed into the zoo. We had way too much fun. When we walked in we saw they were selling buckets of food for the animals. We had a great time feeding most of the animals.

Matt feeding what we called the ROUS's... I'm still not sure what they were. They didn't attack us though, so that was good... they did beg for food a lot.

And we got to feed seals. We threw little dead fish at them and got quite a response.

I had them eating out of my hand.

Joyce feeding a hip-hip-hippopotamus. And yes we sang the song, well at least Matt, Kate, and I did. We have no shame.

The goats were very interested in what was in the bucket.

Well after seeing lots of lions, tigers, and bears OH MY! along with elephants, penguins, long-legged foxes and more, we were wiped out. We headed back to the hotel to meet the rest of the group. It was time for us to head home. The ride back on the BuqueBus was a little rougher than we expected. The bus ride home was peaceful. We made it back home around 11. We were wiped out. But it was a great time.

could be a Nutria, actually, if it had giant orange buck teeth in front -- they're native to South America, anyway, and only migrated to the US under comically bizarre circumstances.
